Liz Hirstle has a Diploma of Art and Design and a Combined Batchelor of Arts and Education degree from Canterbury University and trained with Royal Acadamy artist, John Ward.

Her achievements include three times finalist for the prestigious Heysen Landscape Award, and winner of the Sports Art Award in Great Britain for her painting of Stefi Graf.

She has painted several well known charaters including Michael Palin and John Ovenden.

She has had many solo exhibitions and you can view her work on the JAC web site.

Her tutoring style is easy to follow and full of fun and laughter, but the content is well worth learning.

 

Jo Ankor has a Bachelor of Cultural Tourism (Hons) from Flinders University and has just completed her studies for a Doctor of Philosophy through the University of Technology , Sydney , focussing on philosophy and travel.

Jo has lived in a number of different countries around the world and spent three years travelling on a 10-metre yacht around Australia ; she says her list of things to see and places to visit keeps getting longer.

Jo has worked in the tourism industry, including consultancy work for the South Australian Tourism Commission, and in the Arts industry, currently as Project Development Officer with Community Arts Network SA. Jo has wide experience in teaching adults and believes in making learning lots of fun.
